Storyline:In his human form smoke was a lethal assassin working for the lin kuei. but when they decide to automate their ninjas, smoke is caught in the middle. He becomes a cyborg assassin. His first mission from the Lin Kuei would be a difficult one, he had to assassin his friend Sub-Zero who betrayed the clan by refusing automation. Together with his fellow cybernetic assassin Sektor he faces Sub-Zero during the third (new) Mortal Kombat tournament..But Smoke decides not to harm his friend and turns against the Lin Kuei clan by helping Sub-Zero defeat Sektor. With his help Sub-Zero is able to destroy the deadly cyborg. But after the battle Smoke feels that he is still in the power of the Lin Kuei. He decides to say his friend goodbye and to disappear in the shadows where he tries to learn how to control his cybernetic existence.
